OutfitterCrew supports RMEF, the IGFA and WSF

OutfitterCrew has donated to RMEF, the IGFA and Wild Sheep Foundation Alberta in support of wildlife conservation, responsible angling and hunting heritage.
We built OutfitterCrew to help hunting and fishing businesses find good people, and to help those people find work. Supporting the land, water and wildlife on which that work depends is a natural extension of that purpose.
Why Conservation Matters to Our Industry
An outfitter can have a well-prepared crew, sound equipment and a full calendar. But the experience they provide still depends on something no business can manufacture: healthy wildlife populations and the places those animals and fish call home.
A hunting guide's livelihood is tied to the condition of the country they work in. A fishing guide needs healthy rivers, lakes and fisheries, not only for this year's clients but for the seasons that follow. Access, responsible management and passing practical knowledge to younger generations all matter, too.
The conservation work behind those things is rarely glamorous. It can mean habitat improvement, research, education, careful management decisions and years of persistence. Much of it happens well away from a camera or a hunting camp. That is part of why we wanted to contribute.
Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation
Elk country is part of the working landscape of the North American hunting industry. The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) focuses on conserving habitat for elk and other wildlife, supporting wildlife management and research, and improving access to land for hunting and other outdoor recreation.
Its work reaches well beyond elk hunters alone. Healthier big-game habitat can benefit other species, while land conservation and access projects help keep outdoor traditions possible. The foundation also supports conservation education and hunting heritage programs.
Those are meaningful priorities for the guides, packers, camp crews and outfitters whose seasons depend on the quality and accessibility of the country they know. We're glad to have made a contribution to RMEF's wider mission.
International Game Fish Association
A day on the water is shaped by more than the skill of the person holding the rod. Healthy fisheries, sound management and respect for the resource all determine what kind of fishing will be possible years from now.
The International Game Fish Association (IGFA) combines work on game fish conservation with science, education, angling rules and the promotion of responsible, ethical fishing. Its efforts include research and programs that help anglers understand the waters and species they enjoy.
That mission matters to fishing guides and outfitters in very practical ways. Teaching a new angler to handle fish responsibly, understanding why fish populations need careful management and keeping future generations connected to fishing are all part of a healthy industry. Supporting IGFA is one way we can stand behind that work.
Wild Sheep Foundation Alberta
Wild sheep live in country that asks a lot of the people who spend time there. In Alberta, conserving bighorn sheep is inseparable from habitat conditions, wildlife management and the long-term health of mountain populations.
Wild Sheep Foundation Alberta is a volunteer-run organization dedicated to wild sheep conservation in the province. Its mission includes supporting responsible wildlife management, conservation education, youth involvement and the preservation of hunting heritage. The organization also highlights work related to habitat improvement and disease risk in bighorn sheep.
We're particularly pleased to support an Alberta-based organization. OutfitterCrew serves both the United States and Canada, and the people working in Canada's hunting industry deserve to see their conservation efforts recognized alongside those south of the border.
What we can say is straightforward: we chose to contribute to three organizations whose missions we believe in. We hope others who care about hunting and fishing will take a moment to learn about their work, whether that leads to a donation, membership, volunteering or simply a better understanding of the issues they address.
OutfitterCrew will keep doing its own job: helping outfitters find staff and helping candidates find opportunities in hunting and fishing. These contributions reflect the same respect for the people, wildlife and places that make the industry worth being part of.
